OK - I am an unbiased, unaffiliated, google local guide. I only review what crosses my path in life; I don't make a career out of this. But, I WAS impressed when we took our whole (immediate) family, grown daughters, spouses, their kids (grandkids) to the ViaPort Aquarium in the Rotterdam Mall (Viaport) in Rotterdam, NY. I have been to the New England Aquarium, Boston; I have been to the Mystic Aquarium, CT ... this is not those ... BUT ... this was an A+ experience for what / where it was. Only positive things to say. "Try It - You'll Like It". Worth the trip / time / $$ !
Beautiful aquarium and very interesting experience. I was able to touch the sea rays and star fish and watch them be fed.
Very friendly and accommodating staff who worked well with my children when allowing them to try and pet the stingrays. Also, love the set up of the tunnel you walk under while being surrounded by part of the aquarium. Something unique which I haven't seen in other aquariums I have visited.
I have been to large & small aquariums. This place is no Baltimore, or Boston aquarium. However, if you take your time, you will find that there's plenty to see. We had a great time at this aquarium and the price was very reasonable. Check out the package offered in the game room, which includes lunch & aquarium admission.
Excellent place to visit alone or with your kids. Very cozy. Friendly personal. We bought year passes and never regret that desicion.
