The first time I went to Something Fishy, I spent $500. This store in particular sold us something broken. When I called to tell them about the broken part, the employee said "ok, just come on in and I'll use some acrylic glue to glue it for you." So that means he knew it was broken? Unacceptable. Especially after spending that much money. I politely asked him if he could get me a new one and he said "sure." Evey time I called to see if the part was in, the employee would give me the run around. It was about to ugly but we finally got the part over 2 months later & honestly since we got the part, we haven't been back. We spend our money in a different store from a different company.
I arrived to get some fish and the employee just sat at the front counter playing on his phone! Didn't seem to care that I was even in there to do business. 5 tanks had at least one or two dead fish in them. This used to be a great place when it was located in Scotia. Some employees there could care less about your hobby and others just want to show off their knowledge and not really listen to your needs and then sell you things you don't need!
My mom has shopped here several times and the one time she bought a fish it died same day she got it. She the brought it back and he wanted to test the water, the nitrate was off slightly so he said no refund or no fish no water is going to be perfect that's why in every pet store I buy from its 3 days guaranteed never have I been asked to bring my water in to get tested. My mom spent a lot of money here but she will never go back.. Poor customer service!!
Something Fishy has very quickly become my new go-to fish store. Easy to get to and hours make life easier to get there after work. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and the prices are very reasonable. They have a very nice selection to pick from, as well. Stop on and check them out!
Small shop but filled with just about everything you could ever want or need. Beautiful fish selection at very fair prices. Equipment is on the pricey side bit mostly top of the line items. Highly suggest checking this little fish store out if you're in the area.
